Welcoming those that live locally and visitors from far and wide, 7 days a week, 12 months of the year.
The Barkes family have lived and farmed at Thorpe Farm for nearly 100 years. The late Deryk Barkes first moved to Thorpe in 1936 and now his family have continued his legacy with Thorpe Farm Centre. Deryk loved people and would be so proud to know that the family have created this wonderful place for families and loved ones to join together. Deryk loved all aspects of the countryside, particularly where the site is positioned near Barnard Castle, between the border of stunning North Yorkshire and beautiful County Durham.
You’ll always be greeted with a smile and if there is anything a member of the team can help you with, they will do everything possible to ensure your experience is only the best.

Not only can you enjoy what they have to offer inside but you can reconnect with the outdoors by enjoying the fantastic rural walks and cycle routes, which are all dog friendly and for your children the outdoor play area is a great place to let off some steam!
