  The leisure park in Morecambe is close to the centre of the town and not far from the beach. There are a number of shops and amenities, offering you plenty of options. Morecambe itself has always been a popular tourist location and the static caravans are perfectly placed for you to explore the local area. The Caravan Park at Summerville Leisure Park holds a full 12-month holiday licence, meaning you can visit all year round.

  There is also a bus route close by which will provide you with transport to the town centre as well as the local town of Heysham and the city of Lancaster. On top of this, the train station is close by and offers you access to the Lake District National Park, Yorkshire Dales, and other areas around the North West.

For sports fans there is a local sports centre, cricket club, bowling, tennis and a number of golf courses. There is also Regent Park and Happy Mount Park if you enjoy spending time outdoors. Regular events are held in Morecambe celebrating the local community, including Vintage By The Sea and Morecambe Carnival. Moreover, there are plenty of shops within walking and driving distance, offering endless choice of products. The Promenade is also a great place to go to enjoy the scenic coast and views over the Lake District.

Many events are held here, and you can also take part in a tour. As one of the local areas most well known figures, visitors can pay their respects to Eric Morecambe by visiting his statue. This is located alongside the prom and is free to visit. The nearby city of Lancaster can be reached by bus, train or car. Here you can explore the city museum for information about the local regiment. You can also take a trip to the Castle, which has parts that date back to the Norman period.

  If hiking is something you’d like to do, then you are spoilt for choice with the picturesque Lake district right on your doorstep, with regular train and bus routes available. Here you can walk Scafell Pike or enjoy a stroll alongside Lake Windemere.
