    Summerhill Holiday Park is a small family owned park , set in a rural woodland location. The park opened in the fifties and is now run by the third generation of the same family.

    Summerhill is a natural scenic woodland park for privately owned holiday homes offering peace and tranquility, a place to escape and reconnect with nature. It offers a perfect base for visiting  and exploring the lake district or simply just staying on site relaxing.

    There is a laundry room on the site. The 26 pitches on the park are all individual, much care and consideration goes into the siting of the holiday homes to give the best use of space and maximize views with as much privacy and individuality as possible.

  • The popular resort town of Windermere is located just a couple of miles from the park. Kendal and Ulverston are market towns also nearby which are well worth a visit.

    Windermere Lake is the largest lake in Europe and alleged home of more than one peculiar sea creature. There are plenty of activities out and about including skiing, boating and fishing on Windermere Lake, there’s also horse riding and golf. Or you can explore the lake from the safety of a ferryboat, which regularly takes passengers from Hawkshead to Bowness. There are lots of National Trust properties worth visiting, also museums and steam trains something for everyone whether it be relaxing or adventure you are looking for.

    There are many great places to eat around the Lake District you will never go hungry! There are also lots of great walks to walk it off.
