    At Meadows Retreat all of the holiday homes are luxury lodges. A luxury holiday lodge is a residential spec static caravan that you’re able to enjoy throughout the 12-month holiday season. Each plot is surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds and mature trees and there is private parking allocated for 2 vehicles beside each lodge.

  • There is a wide array of things to do for all the family near Meadows Retreat Lodge Park. Whether you’re a keen angler, golfer, mountain biker or walker or maybe you just prefer relaxing in local pubs and coffee shops, the location is perfect for you!

    For the beach and rock fisher the bass fishing from June to October is excellent with many specimens caught that weigh in from schoolies to double figures each year. From St Bees to Ravenglass they can be caught on the fly and to the north around the Silloth are bait fishing is the best option. The cod fishing really starts from October and there are flounder and mullet to be had all year round right into the Solway estuary.

    Cockermouth Golf Club is an 18 hole moorland course situated 3 miles east of Cockermouth. Surrounded by excellent views including Skiddaw, the Lorton Fells, Scotland and even, weather permitting, the Isle of Man. The 6th, 7th & 8th holes are 3 of the 4 hardest holes back to back to back & this stretch of the course can make or break a round. The 8th is one of the best par 4’s in Cumbria.

    The Lake District National Park is the largest national park in the country, occupying 885 sq. miles. It is the country’s ultimate destination for hiking and climbing! West Cumbria offers historic houses, Roman remains, archaeology, museums, distilleries, art galleries and much more to discover. There is an abundance of activities and events all year round.
